Following weeks of cancellation rumors,
Billboard reveals that
U2 will kick off their Vertigo World Tour at the San Diego Sports Arena on March 28.
Kings of Leon will join them as the opening act on the first leg of the tour. Tickets, with prices ranging from $49.50 to $165, will go on sale January 29. An official announcement, including dates and locations for the remainder of tour, is expected on January 24. U2 and Apple's iTunes are discussing the possibility of digital downloads for some of the dates.
