Bill Gates Predicts End is Near for iPod

Looking very much like Mr. Burns, Bill Gates told German daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in an interview published today, "I don't think the success of the iPod can continue in the long term, however good Apple may be."

The Microsoft megalomaniac went on to say, "I think you can draw parallels here with the computer — here, too, Apple was once extremely strong with its Macintosh and graphic user interface, like with the iPod today, and then lost its position."

Hmm...

Apple was once extremely strong with its Macintosh and graphic user interface

You mean before you put out a, shall we say, strikingly similar product, Bill? Also, that's quite a stretch to compare iPod's current dominance with that of Macintosh back in the day.

Comments:
like or love bill gates he is right on this one. the ipod is awesome ( i love it ) flash in the pan. cell phones will be capable of doing what ipods do in the future. it will be pointless to have two devices when one will do.

Bill "I got my face smacked with 3 pies" Gates is in a dream world. You can just sence that the sh*t-eating grin he's sporting is a front for the nightmare he's in... courtesy of the friendly neighborhood bad-@sses... Apple and Google.
