Alanis Morissette's "Jagged Little Pill Acoustic" Sets Record Single-Week CD Sales At Starbucks

Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill Acoustic studio album has debuted with the biggest single-week CD sales in Starbucks history (not that they've been selling records that long!). Released Monday, June 13, 2005 - marking the ten-year anniversary date of the original release of her 30+ million selling Jagged Little Pill - the album has sold more than 61,000 copies in its first seven days of exclusive availability at Starbucks.

In a unique agreement between Starbucks Hear Music and Maverick Records, the album is being sold exclusively in Starbucks Company-operated stores in the United States and Canada throughout the six weeks of the "Jagged Little Pill Acoustic Tour." After the tour concludes, the album will also be sold at traditional retail outlets, starting July 26.
