Jackson found not guilty on all counts

The jury returned verdicts on the counts contained in the April 21, 2004 grand jury indictment that replaced the original complaint. That indictment alleged four counts of molestation, one count of attempted molestation, one count of conspiracy and four counts of supplying alcohol to a minor.

The jury sorted through the 98 pages of jury instructions and reached verdict on each count. They found Jackson not guilty on all child molestation charges and not guilty on all other counts as well, including the lesser offense charges related to allegedly providing alcohol to a minor.

Many said the prosecution was weak even before the case was brought. There will be no doubt some questions as to whether the case should have been brought at all. Of course, there will be many who say he "got off" - but, the jury saw all the evidence that we at home didn't and they saw it free from media bias. Like it or not, the jury system has spoken and Jackson is a free man.
