Just like the reunion of Plant and Page for Live Aid in 1985, Live 8 will deliver some rock and roll history, and hopefully alter world history as well. David Gilmour and Roger Waters, along with Nick Mason and Richard Wright will play together as Pink Floyd for the first time since 1981. This year is also the 30th anniversary of Pink Floyd's "
Wish You Were Here" - one of the all time great rock albums - so a reunion at this time makes sense on many levels. Members of the band also made history when they played a show among the ruins of the the demolished Berlin Wall in 1990.
