Anyone who watches sports has heard his tune Rock and Roll Part II - better know as the "Hey" song. You know it - doot dooo...da doot da doo - Hey! The song has appeared in a commercial for Starbucks and numerous soundtracks, including
Any Given Sunday (1999),
The Replacements (2000),
Sugar & Spice (2001),
Small Soldiers (1998),
The Longest Yard (2005),
Moonlight Mile (2002), and
Bedazzled (2000). One would think Gary Glitter has made a few bucks off this one.
Now, he's reportedly parting with some of that cash. He's been said to have paid the families of two teenage girls in Vietnam who accused him of
having sex with the children.
This story coincides with reports that the Vietnamese police have
dropped the rape charges against Glitter. If true, he's no doubt humming a familiar tune. Of course, any celebration may be premature as he may still be facing legal jeopardy for lewd conduct with minors.
