American Idol out draws Grammys

"Real musicians" - many of whome write their own songs and tour endlessly to try to breakthrough to mass audiences - often look down upon "American Idol" winnners and finalists who gain fame without having to write their own music and "pay their dues" with endless touring.

Well, it seems America feels differently. Internet tabloid site, the Drudge Report is "reporting" that more people watched last night's American Idol show than tuned in to the Grammy's. According to Drudge, in direct competition at 8 pm ET, Idol garnered a 27 share to the Grammy's 16 share.
