Cat Power Cancels Tour

Citing health concerns, Matador Records announced the cancellation of Cat Power's winter tour. "Out of respect for [Cat's] privacy, we can't give more detailed information, but we hope and assume that you'll respect her privacy during this time as well."

Power, a notoriously stage-shy performer, was hitting the road in support of The Greatest, her well received recently released album. The 11 city tour with the Memphis Rhythm Band would have criss-crossed the United States before concluding in Austin, TX at the SXSW Music Festival and a solo performance at Stubbs BBQ.
