Guster's spring tour will be a joint effort with environmental action group Reverb, bringing interactive fare like "Pimp My Clean Ride Car Show" to college campuses nationwide. With their
Campus Consciousness Tour, Guster and Reverb have the heady goal of spreading environmental awareness to their fan base. The rock band/green group pairing should not be surprising as Reverb's founders are Guster guitarist Adam Gardner and his wife Lauren Sullivan.
In addition to "Pimp My Eco-Ride," each show will feature a Consciousness Pavilion with booths and exhibits designed to educate folks about renewable energy sources and other environmentally sound products. To encourage attendance, raffle tickets will be sold with winners receiving autographed guitars or a meet-and-greet with the band.
In announcing their spring tour, Guster let slip that they will appear at the 6th Annual Jammy Awards at the Theater at Madison Square Garden on April 20 and play the Hiro Ballroom the next night as part of the Green Apple Music Festival.
