Prolific country songwriter Cindy Walker passed away last week in Mexia, TX. Walker's songs are most identifiable with Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys, the group that recorded many of her compositions. Walker's best known song "You Don't Know Me," was recorded by many different and varied artists including Elvis Presley, Van Morrison and Ray Charles, who recorded the definitive version of the song.
