Phish bassist Mike Gordon will play select dates in late May and early June with the Vermont-based honky-tonk collective Ramble Dove. Although Ramble Dove has a rotating slate of musicians, they revolve around guitarist Brett Hughes who started
Honky-Tonk Tuesdays at Burlington's Radio Bean coffeehouse. Despite being from the jam-happy state of Vermont, Gordon & Ramble Dove pay homage to classic Nashville, Tennessee honky-tonk and country giants like Hank Williams, Lefty Frizell and George Jones.

The seven show mini-tour will conclude with a June 4 appearance at Warren Haynes' Mountain Jam Music Festival at Hunter Mountain in Woodstock, NY and a June 17 set at the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, TN. In the shows leading up to the festivals, Gordon & Ramble Dove will be joined by fellow Vermonters Grace Potter & The Nocturnals. Drummer Jon Fishman will join the whole lot on June 2 in South Burlington for a "
Honky Tonk The Vote" target="new" benefit concert for congressman Bernie Sanders.
At the end of the summer, Gordon will rejoin longtime collaborater Leo Kottke for a
fall tour in support of their latest album
Sixty Six Steps.
