Rock And Roll Hotrod: Buckcherry 15

By: Sean R. Grogan

Rocking their way to the top of the white trash playlist, glam-rockers Buckcherry return with eleven tracks of schizophrenic sounds and influences on 15. You don't need to be a Buckcherry fan to find a song on 15 that'll get your motor revving. With songs running the gamut from throat-wrenching rock 'n' roll to sweet ballads and country twang, Buckcherry provides something for everyone.

For instance, "Sorry," is a throwback to the days when longhaired rockers crooned ballads and may very well be an apology for their first single off the record, "Crazy Bitch." Though it's not radio friendly, this track is destined to burn its way into your memory with its vulgar yet catchy chorus and Aerosmith-style sound. One song that particularly stands out is "Brooklyn," a song that has the feel of Kid Rock jamming with Willie Nelson. It is country soul and twang, accentuated by scratchy guitars and the classic gritty vocals of Josh Todd. It also is one of the few songs that manages to showcase Buckcherry's talents outside the glam rock genre.
