First Ed Sullivan famously got the Stones to agree to change the lyrics to "Lets Spend the Night Together" and now 30+ years later its Chines sensors who have convinced the band to alter their show. When the Stones play their first ever gig in mainland China, the band will drop at least 5 classic hits from the set list, including "Beast of Burden" and "Start me up," which was bleeped during this year's Super Bowl performance. The Stones say its no big deal and are still psyched to play the show. They make the same point Google made when it dealt with China sensors, which is that themy offering most of their songs (or services in Google's case) is better than nothing. Both will bring a good part of the "west" to China.
