
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) will recognize Annie Lennox for her contribution to music.
The former Eurythmics vocalist will receive ASCAP's "Founder Award." Former winners include Elvis Costello, Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder.
Over her career, Lennox has won four Grammys, seven Brit Awards, a Golden Globe and an Academy Award.

Former Stones' bassist Bill Wyman is not too happy with his former mates. According to PRinside.com, Wyman says: "If they want to carry on doing it - rolling on and on... then that's up to them. I'm past all that. I've got more interesting things to think about. I don't listen to their records any more. I haven't for years. I don't see anything fresh or exciting there - that applies to a lot of bands. I just don't think Keith and Mick know how to do anything else. They need adulation in their lives. They need people worshipping them, loving them, telling them how fantastic they are." Ouch.
Foo Fighter Dave Grohl wants to take the two trapped Australian miners out for a drink when they are freed. Mine manager Matthew Gill passed Grohl's message to the miners:
"I had a message from Dave Grohl. I passed on his message to Brant and Todd, I read it to them. And they were both stoked by that. It was basically thinking of you and anywhere, anytime to catch up with two cold beers. And Dave wanted to know if that was a deal. And I can tell Dave that those two say that yes, that's a deal."
