Pantera's Vinnie Paul launched his new record label -
Big Vin Records with the release of his collaboration,
Rebel Meets Rebel, with country star and wildman David Allen Coe. Paul, along with deceased brother "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott began the project with Coe in 2000. It was completed in 2004 and released last week under the name "David Allen Coe and the Cowboys from Hell."
Paul says the time is right to release the album - as a final tribute to his brother, who was shot and killed during a Damageplan concert in December, 2004.
According to PRinside.com, Paul says: "This was a record that was real important to him. He used to call me all the time and joke, 'Man, we gotta get this thing out before he (Coe) kicks the bucket. He's 66-years-old.' Look at the irony of that."
Paul may tour with Coe and former Pantera bassist Rex Brown, who also plays on the record. Meanwhile, Paul is searching for new bands to put out on Big Vin Records.
