Reports indicate that former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash offered to join British band the Stone Roses after guitarist John Squire left the group in 1996.
However, frontman Ian Brown turned him down and apparently regrets the decision. According to PRinside.com, Brown says: "I wish we'd taken him on. But at the time we were like, 'No, we hate Guns N' Roses, fuckoff. Is he going to bring his python with him?' "But now I think it would have been amazing." That certainly would have made for an interesting combination. Of course, Slash found a pretty good home in Velvet Revolver.
