Sting was an early entertainment leader in bringing attention to the destruction of rainforests in the Amazon. Now, many years after his famous Save the Rainforests concerts, the singer finds himself in the crosshairs of environmental activists.
Sting is set to
perform in the Sierra de Gredos national park in central Spain, which is a protected park. The folks from "Ecologists in Action" are not happy about it and want the concert moved.
Over 9,000 tickets have reportedly been sold. It's quite the dilemma for the tantric one. We'll see if he'll risk his enviro-friendly rep or go on with the show.
