Husker Du's Bob Mould in Gnarls Barkley II?

Bob Mould's blazing and crunching guitar work was a key part of Husker Du's pre-grunge, speed-punk sound. A seminal band of the early 80s punk scene, Husker Du influenced many of today's modern/alternative rock hit makers. After Husker Du's demise, Mould also made his mark on the college music scene with Sugar, whose album Copper Blue was named NME's Album of the Year in 1992.

These days Mould is collaborating with DC's Deep Dish DJ Richard Morel in what some are hailing as the next Gnarls Barkley: Blowoff. Gee, Gnarls has hardly had time to enjoy its "it" status and its already spawning progeny? Or, are some really good PR folks hard at work here? Either way, given both Morel and Mould's track records, I doubt we'll see a copycat and completly expect further innovation from these already established pioneers like this first track called "Hormone Love."
