The Who are set to release their first single in over two decades and are getting ready to head out on tour. All the activity has Pete Townsend a bit wound up. Writing about putting out a new record while getting ready for a tour,
Pete says:
"This is always a tense moment: will people like it? Will it get radio or TV? Will the reviews be OK or snide? Should we give a f**k? But it's great to have new music to sell on CD, carry, talk about, play live and offer for download."
Of course, with his recent
slam on the White Stripes the kids will be expecting big things from the "Hope I Die Before I Get Old" generation. And, if that's not enough Pete's got the to help his parntner
Rachel Fuller through the release of her new EP (out in June), which includes a song the pair wrote together.
Oh, and he's also claiming to help change the way the music industry operates with the new release as well. No pressure Pete...
