After filing thousands of lawsuits against people around the country and going after big file swappers like Napster, the Recording Industry Association of America reportedly thinks illegal downloads are on the way out.
According to
TheInquirer.net (the unofficial site of everything):
"[RIAA] CEO Mitch Bainwol said that although the problem had not been eliminated, digital downloads have emerged into a growing, thriving business, and illegal file-trading is flat."
Assuming he actually said it, I wonder if he made the statement wearing a flight suit from the deck of an aircraft carrier?
Meanwhile...Daddy Yankee thinks the
downloading war might not be over just yet.
