Tim Williams

Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Tim Williams headed over to the UK last fall to record new material after meeting producer Dave Lynch (The Late Greats, The Duke Special) at the CMJ festival in NYC. Once in the UK, Lynch eventually matched Williams with Paul (bass, guitar) and Phil (drums) Wilkinson of Belfast's Amazing Pilots – who had previous stints supporting Ian Archer (Snow Patrol) and the Duke Special (V2 Records) – and buckled down to work in Lynch's basement studio in Eastbourne.

"Dave's basement was covered in dust, and he's allergic, so he had a box of tissues there the whole time. I thought he was gonna die, but he worked his ass off," laughs Williams of the experience.

The results - the EP Merchant Heart are still being pressed and are due to hit stores in the states soon. Meanwhile, you can get a preview here.
