I got a nice email from the guys in Eons, who, like us, are apparently big
Vernon Reid fans. The band - Justin Bailey (guitar/vocals), Arun Bali (guitar / Howard Stern historian), Ashley Bruce (drums), Mark Miller (bass) - list both Richmond, Virginia and Detroit, Michigan as their places of origin and cite a number of broad musical influences.
Cathcy tunes like "Take a Number" have some clear Brit pop influences, but you can stream a few songs on their
MySpace page and decide for yourselves. If you're in the NYC area you check them out this coming Wednesday night, November 25th at
The Annex.
