Nicole Atkins to Kick-off Sun Studio Sessoins New Season

Season 3 of Sun Studio Sessions will debut this coming January on select PBS affiliates in January 2012 and then roll out across the country over the rest of the year. Earvolution had the pleasure of first seeing Nicole perform in 2008 and couldn't think of a better artist to kick-off the new season of Sun Studio Sessions.

Nicole has appeared on Conan O'Brien and David Letterman and her debut record hit #20 on the Billboard Heat seekers chart. Paste Magazine aptly described Nicole's music as a "unique blend of rootsy-folk and indie rock” and both Time and SPIN magazines named her as best live act at the 2011 SXSW music festival. In the full half our episode, Nicole and band, rock and roll through several songs “Cry, Cry, Cry” and “Vultures.”
