Over The Rhine, Sun Studio Sessions

Over the Rhine are touring stalwarts who have shared the stage with artists like Bob Dylan, Ani DiFranco, My Morning Jacket, and have toured as "adjunct" members of the Cowboy Junkies.

Over the Rhine's latest album The Long Surrender was recorded with Grammy-winning producer Joe Henry, and contains a duet with Lucinda Williams. The band stopped into Memphis to film an episode of Sun Studio Sessions, including the song below "The King Knows How" on the very floor where Elvis Presley and many legends like Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis, began their careers.

PBS affiliate KWSU-TV digital channel 10 in Pullman, Washington, based on the campus of Washington State University, airs the full episode tonight at 11:30pm. The Spokane market can view KWSU 10 on DirecTV and Dish Network, which also reaches parts of Idaho, Oregon and Montana. You can learn more air dates for Sun Studio Sessions here.

Sahara Smith Sun Studio Sessions, Los Angeles KOCE SoCal PBS

KOCE PBS TV, serving the Los Angeles area, presents a great block of music programming tonight on their "OC" Channel. Live from the Artists'Den starts at 8pm with Death Cab for Cutie performing at the Brooklyn Museum. That is followed by Sun Studio Sessions at 9pm with Austin based singer-songwriter Sahara Smith.

Sahara made her national television debut on David Letterman this past fall and won best songwriter and best female vocalist at the 2011 Austin Music Awards. The Wall Street Journal writes of her latest record: "Now 21, her ‘Myth of the Heart’ is getting a royal send-off, shepherded by producer T-Bone Burnett and fed by years of critical rapture.”

The KOCE "OC" Channel is found at Time Warner Cable Channel 235, Cox Cable 810, Verizon Fios 470 and digital antenna 50.2. More Sun Studio Sessions air dates available here.

Las Vegas PBS, Dylan LeBlanc "Sun Studio Sessions"

Rolling Stone named 21 year old Louisiana born Dylan LeBlanc, as one of Music’s Best Newcomers of 2010, who said “His haunted tenor veers between Southern soulman and honky-tonk crooner.” Signed to Rough Trade records at 19, LeBlanc, who grew up in the legendary FAME studios (Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett) in Muscle Shoals Alabama, has already won over music fans in Europe. Grammy winner Trina Shoemaker (Sheryl Crown) mixed his debut and a new release is expected in 2012.

LeBlanc taped "Sun Studio Sessions" in Memphis, and this video for "Emma Hartley" showcases Dylan's unique style Rolling Stone raved about and his stellar band.

The full show will air tonight on Las Vegas PBS Jackpot Channel (Cox Cable 111) at 6pm.
